What is the legal requirement to purchase alcohol?

You must be at least 21 years of age to order alcohol, and a signature is required for delivery/pickup.  The customer is responsible for the purchase of alcohol and for any taxes that may be applicable.  You must also show a valid government issued ID at the time of pickup/delivery.

     

    How many attempts do you make to deliver?

    The courier/delivery driver will take the products back to the store if you are unavailable.  Items may or may not be held for pickup.  Please call the store for more information.

     

    What happens if an item I purchased online is not in stock?

    In case we are out of a product from your order, we will try to contact you to offer a substitution if possible.  If we are unsuccessful in contacting you, we will refund part of an order, or the entire order.

     

    Can I add items to an existing order?

    No, orders cannot be edited online once it is placed.  Please contact us to see how we can help.

     

    Do you ship or deliver to a PO Box?

    No, products cannot be delivered to an APO, FPO, or a PO Box.

     

    Is there a minimum amount for delivery/pickup?

    There is no minimum amount for in-store pickup, however for free local deliveries there is $40 minimum order before tax.

     

    I do not see a specific Wine or Spirits I would like to purchase, can I make a special order?

    If you do not see a product that you are looking for, please contact the store.

     

    Where do you ship to?

    We ship within New York State. 

     

    Is your selection online identical to what you have in the store?

    Generally speaking, yes: our in-store stock is largely the same as our online inventory.  If we have low stock on certain items, they may be taken offline to avoid overselling.

     

    Can I place an order for pick-up on your website?

    Yes, you place an order for in-store pick up anytime. 

     

    I’m worried my bottles will break during shipment. Is there an insurance fee for shipped bottles?

    For 1% of your order value, you will be covered for loss or breakage.  If your bottle arrives broken, or never arrives at all, let us know and we will make arrangements to replace it, free of charge.

    By refusing insurance, you relieve JC Wines & Spirits of any and all responsibility for breakage or loss that may occur to your order.

     

    Do you offer same-day delivery?

    Yes, for local deliveries in Woodside, Sunnyside, Jackson Heights and Some parts in Astoria and Elmhurst with a minimum order of $40(Pre-tax).  Local delivery orders will be delivered on the same day.
