The 2002 Disznoko Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos has developed even greater aromatic complexity than younger vintages with the emergence of dried fruits, spices (mints), tobacco box and toasted notes. This wine is creamy and full-bodied, while retaining the distinctive Disznóko freshness. Intensity combined with finesse and a lingering finish.
The vivacious acidity balancing the sweetness means Disznóko Tokaji Aszú 6 puttonyos is far more than a simple dessert wine. Enjoyable on its own of course, but with a surprising range of dishes too.
Wine Spectator 94 - More than a decade old, this mature Tokaji evokes apple tart, quince paste, brown spices and clove, with a hint of orange peel. Elegant and racy, with a long, dried fruit—infused aftertaste. Better than previously reviewed.
