Louis Cheze Saint-Joseph Anges 2015 - Rhone, France - Syrah 750ml
Coming from 50-year-old vines and granite soils, the 2014 Saint Joseph Anges offers a beautiful bouquet of ripe black raspberries, spiced meats and dried herbs. This gives way to a rounded, supple, impressively textured and concentrated red that has a terrific mid-palate and plenty of length. It's a rock-solid success in the vintage and will have a decade of longevity.
Wine Spectator 93 - This sports lots of dark fig, blackberry and black cherry compote flavors, with singed mesquite and black tea notes. Fleshy and toasty in feel, but shows the drive and energy to carry this overt style well.
